10 steps to your success

L

1. Starting Point

A company based in Germany with its own production facilities wants to expand its product range - but its in-house production facilities are not designed for series production of the desired sales volume.

L

2. Weighing up Risks

The management is examining the expansion of its own production and assembly capacities and has come to the conclusion that the financial risk is still too high, also due to questionable capacity utilization.

L

3. Reduce Risks

To minimize the risk, the decision is made to initially outsource the production of new products until demand can be better assessed.

L

4. Professional Support

However, as the company had no experience with off-shore production in the Far East, the management decided to seek professional support from WEPGATE.

L

5. Briefing & Selection

After a detailed briefing, we use the information provided to select a producer who has the appropriate machinery and the necessary infrastructure.
L

6. Quotation Phase

The client decides to obtain an initial indicative quote and allows us to forward the necessary information to the company we recommend.

L

7. Open Book Accounting

Within a very short time, the client receives the offer in the form of a transparent calculation including a volume-dependent price scale and initial costs.
L

8. Blanket Order

After brief negotiations, in which WEPGATE acts and mediates in the interests of both parties, an initial framework agreement is concluded and production is commissioned.
L

9. Ramp-Up-Phase

We also support the subsequent meetings, which take place regularly as part of production planning and the establishment of series production, with our expertise and experience from numerous successful ramp-ups in the Far East.
L

10. Mass Production

Now that the usual teething troubles of the pre-series models have been eliminated and the sources of error analyzed, series production is running practically without a hitch. The management is not only highly satisfied with the quality, but also with the adherence to delivery dates and deadlines. In the meantime, two further products have been requested from the contract manufacturer.
